My name is Stuart Stoneman James, and I am a native New Yorker, husband, and father of twins. I’ve been toying with photography for the better part of the last 40 years with only incremental improvement and a desperate desire to get it right in the camera because I hate post-production. Some of my work has been published. I can’t imagine why. Nikon is my brand of choice, starting with an F3 and currently using the D500. I own medium format gear, but images from those animals have not yet graced this site, so the brands remain nameless. You will occasionally see photos from my Samsung S21 Ultra because, well, it’s the camera that’s with me most of the time - my wife has yet to allow me to purchase a Leica!

My passion is for shooting sports and my kids, with Covid restrictions the last two years have been mostly about my kids.
